Threatened species recovery actions

Actions from Threatened Species Recovery Actions 2025 Baseline published by Natural England.

Habitat management
Undertake scrub clearance and reintroduce light grazing at neglected sites. This will include identification and restoring sites with potential for (re)colonisation through an initial desk-based research followed by a practical, field-based study dependent on findings.
Pressure mitigation
Work with land managers and partners to reduce grazing pressure on over-grazed sites, particularly during drought years.
Scientific research
Undertake research to better understand larval requirements and to determine whether this and other threatened species can be catered for in the same microhabitat.
